Carlos III University of Madrid · October 17, 18, and 19 · Salamanca
MolinoLab reopens its doors for a new edition of art and technology gatherings with students from Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M). A weekend of creative immersion where art, science, and nature come together in an inspiring rural setting.
Workshops for listening to the invisible
Over three days, we will explore the poetic and sensory possibilities of biological data. Using biodata devices, we will learn to read the electrical signals of plants and fungi, process them, and transform them into audiovisual experiences.
Each group will develop a collaborative sound piece, a composition created from the plant life of the surrounding environment. The resulting works will be exhibited in different natural spaces and also shared on the MolinoLab website and in the Sinfonía Biótica project.

Living technology and experimental art
The workshop will be facilitated by Fernando Fernández (@b1tdreamer) and Joaquín Díaz Sotavento, creators of bio-interactive devices that capture electrical communication between organisms.
Fernando will also present Sinfonía Biótica, a virtual reality experience that converts biological data into an immersive soundscape. Participants will learn about the prototypes and processes behind this innovative work.

A meeting beyond the classroom
More than just a workshop, these gatherings offer a situational experience: an opportunity to connect with the rural environment, learn from the land and other forms of natural intelligence, and rethink the relationship between technology and territory.
MolinoLab, a former livestock farm transformed into a space for art, agroecology, and culture, has established itself as a benchmark for interdisciplinary experimentation outside the urban environment. Its watermill—converted into a Museum of Traditional Agriculture by Valeriano Sánchez Torres—continues to be a meeting point between past and future, tradition and innovation.
