For two weeks, we learned how to build using traditional techniques that had been revised to be more efficient. We learned to understand clay as a building material, its properties, and how and where to find it.
First, we conducted tests to determine the composition of the clay in the area, make corrections, and determine the dosage and application.
We also built cob and adobe walls, applied plaster, and painted with clay.
Our teacher during those days was Aitor Unanue, who has more than 15 years of experience in green building, working with local materials such as clay, straw, wood, and wrought iron.
